Pumpkin Patch

This week we meet our friends at the pumpkin patch. Blair and Logan love going to Jackson's Orchard. Especially for a caramel apple and apple cider slushie. Life is good when you're at Jackson's.
Blair was ready for the camera in her new orange shirt. I love to hear Logan say pumpkin. And he says it for EVERY pumpkin he sees.

Logan loves the animals. He doesn't get to close at first, but after a while he's sticking hay through the fence for them to eat.

Blair loves sweet Alana and Mason. She thinks she's "the babysitter" when her younger friends are around!!!

Getting all five kids to look at the camera at the same time can be a challenge. They are all such a JOY and blessing!!!!!

Next to eating caramel apples and yummy slushies the next best thing is the big slide. Blair and Logan were very timid at first, but with a little push they went down. Of course they had to be on my lap, but they enjoyed it. So did the rest of our friends.

Finally after a little bribe, Blair went down by herself. I couldn't believe it when she sat down and took off. Thanks to our sweet Nikki for catching her.

It was a fun day and the kids are begging to go back. Days like this remind me of how much I love the fall, but more so how thankful I am for FRIENDS!!

The sweetest four year old girl!

Where has the time gone? My sweet Blair has turned four. I can't believe this time next year we'll be dropping her off at school.
My brother Kyle took some pictures of Blair for me about two weeks ago. We ended up going several places here in town and took over 700 pictures. Don't worry, I won't show you all 700, but I will show you a few of my favorites.
I cannot get enough of this girl!!!!

Family Vacation!!!!!! (Part 1)

I cannot tell you what FUN we had on our family vacation! There were 8 adults and 6 children in a 6 bedroom house with its own pool. The house was located in a gated community with a clubhouse, movie theater, pool with water slide, etc. Needless to say it was AWESOME!!!
To say the least we really enjoyed all the "pool time."
While we were there Blair turned FOUR!!! Where has my baby girl gone? I cannot believe next year I'll be dropping her off at school. Enough of that....we celebrated Ava and Blair's birthday while we were in FL. The girls loved their Minnie Mouse birthday party. They are my favorite four year old girls! This is "the fam" outside of our house on Sunday morning. Aren't we a good lookin family!!!

Now for the real fun!!! SeaWorld and Disney World were AWESOME! The kids had the best time. I had some outfits made for Logan and Blair for Disney World. I figure two things: (1)You might as well dress them like you want while you can (2)If you're going to Disney World you might as well go all out. I think they looked precious!!!!

My favorite part of Disney World was seeing Mickey and Minnie. Logan loved Mickey Mouse and Blair loved the fact that she matched with Minnie! The rest of the day Logan was constantly looking for Mickey...it was so cute!

SeaWorld was just as awesome as Disney. Blair and Logan adored Shamu. I think it was the highlight of their trip. Both of them came home with a "stuffed" Shamu and they have continued to carry it around since we've been home. Logan loved the Shamu show. He never took his eyes off Shamu. When Shamu was under the water Logan would stand up and yell, "Mu, Mu, are you!
Too much fun, too many pictures! More to come soon!!!!!!!!

August FUN!

It's been a long time, but in my defense I've had some computer troubles. So....here's a catch up. Hold on!
Blair and Logan got to experience a FIRST together. I was so excited for both of them when we got invited to spend the weekend at the lake (thanks Scott and Becca). We spent the riding jet skies, tubing and cruisin on the pontune boat. Logan wanted control of the wheel and Blair just loved being with her "favorite friends."

About a month ago, I got a new car!!! We were really out growing the Xterra and I hated to see it go, but I'm LOVIN my Tahoe. It's just perfect for our family, but I have to say it's been an adjustment getting use to. At first I felt like I was driving a school bus. So...Jared and I have been keeping a secret from one of our favorite 16 year old girls at church...we consider her and her family apart of our family. She has such a sweet heart and a fun personality. We were thrilled when her Mom decided to buy our Xterra from us. One night after dinner we cleaned up the car, put a bow on the windshield and surprised her with her new car. To say the least she was excited. Congrats Catlin, we love ya!

Last weekend the Craig's came to stay with us for a few days. We had the BEST time!!!! The kids played so well together and us adults laughed until our stomach's hurt. To top it all off the ORIGINAL BG 5 got together for the first time in two years. Things sure have changed for all of us, but one thing that remains constant is our friendship. I'm thankful for them.

It sure has been a busy, but fun August....Now for some real fun in September. Get ready for Blair's fourth birthday and a trip to Disney World with the WHOLE Nix family! We cannot wait!
